F-16 crashes in Poland while preparing for air show: Footage

A plane crash occurred in Poland – an F-16 fighter jet crashed while preparing for an international air show, according to Polish government spokesperson Adam Szłapka and Poland’s Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
"Tragedy in Radom (Polish city - ed.): an F-16 aircraft crashed while preparing for the AirShow. Unfortunately, the pilot died. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz spoke with the Prime Minister, who is on his way to the scene," Szłapka said.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, for his part, confirmed that he has already arrived at the site of the tragedy.
"In the F-16 crash, a pilot of the Polish Armed Forces died – an officer who always served his country with dedication and great courage," he added.
According to Polish media, the crash occurred during the execution of a "barrel roll" maneuver. The probable cause was a stall at low altitude and loss of lift.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the AirShow planned for the upcoming weekend in Radom has been canceled.
Journalists also report that the crash claimed the life of a well-known Polish pilot, Maciej Krakowian, who led the Tiger Demo Team aerobatic group.
MiG-29 crash in Ukraine
On the night of August 23, Ukrainian pilot Serhii Bondar died while approaching for landing. He was piloting a MiG-29 fighter jet. The incident occurred after completing a combat mission.
The Air Force reported that the causes of the tragedy are being investigated.
