Explosions shake Kharkiv as Russian drones and guided bombs hit city

On the night of July 12, Russian forces carried out yet another barbaric strike on Kharkiv, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, and the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Officeю
Kharkiv came under attack once again during the night. The air raid alert for Kharkiv and the Kharkiv territorial community began as early as 7:52 p.m. Kyiv time on July 11 and is still ongoing.
At this point, it is known that the city was attacked by Shahed-type strike drones, and there is also evidence of a likely guided aerial bomb (KAB) strike on a residential area.
At 05:01, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that one of the strikes hit residential buildings in the Kyivskyi district. There is information about at least one person injured.
According to him, information about the extent of the destruction and possible casualties is still being clarified.
However, the air raid alert in the Kharkiv region remains in effect. City authorities and emergency services are urging residents to stay in shelters until the official all-clear is given.
Attack on Kharkiv – July 11
On July 11, a local maternity hospital in Kharkiv came under drone attack. While no patients or medical staff were physically injured, three women and three newborns suffered acute stress reactions. Several hospital rooms were damaged, including the intensive care unit.
Later, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the occupiers had targeted the city’s Saltivskyi district using Geran-2 type drones.
