Explosions rock occupied Crimea, drones massively attack peninsula

Russian-occupied Crimea is under a large-scale assault by strike drones, with explosions heard across various parts of the peninsula as Russian air defenses engage incoming targets, according to the Telegram channel Krymskyi Veter and the Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
According to eyewitness reports, drones are flying over Dzhankoy, possibly heading toward the village of Krasnohvardiiske, while aircraft are taking off from Belbek military airfield.
In Kerch, muffled explosions were heard, reportedly near the village of Bondarenkove, as Russian air defenses engaged targets.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have temporarily halted traffic on the Crimean Bridge.
The Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, claimed the loud noises were the result of air defense operations.
"This was the interception and destruction of four drones over the Black Sea at an altitude of nearly 1.5 kilometers, far from the shore. The situation remains under control. Given that the drones were shot down over the sea at a high altitude, I urge residents to remain calm and stay in safe locations," he wrote.
According to eyewitness reports, missile launches and explosions are also occurring in the Saky area, accompanied by distant gunfire.
An alert has been declared over the threat of unmanned surface vessel (USV) attacks near Cape Tarkhankut. Russian forces claim that the Ukrainian military is launching FPV drones from these vessels.
Meanwhile, Russian military sources report a large-scale launch of drones toward Crimea from the Odesa region.
Drone attacks in Crimea
Crimea, which Russia seized in 2014, has been regularly targeted by kamikaze drones, striking military facilities, command posts, and air defense positions of the occupying forces.
Recently, the partisan movement ATESH reported that mass drone strikes on military targets across the peninsula were expected between February 24 and 26. Russian air defense personnel have reportedly been trying to avoid duty at their positions to evade potential attacks.
In early January, partisans claimed that Russian forces had transferred additional air defense systems to Crimea from other sections of the front.
