Explosions rock Kharkiv amidst Russian drone attack: Details

On the evening of June 28, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. The city is under attack by enemy drones, the local channels, the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report.
In particular, the first sound of an explosion in the city was heard at approximately 7:38 p.m. local time. After that, public channels reported a series of other explosions.
Earlier, Oleh Syniehubov reported that drones were being detected over the city and the region.
"Enemy UAVs have been detected in the sky over Kharkiv and the region. Stay in safe places until the air raid alert is lifted," the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration wrote.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also warned that drones were being detected from the north in the direction of Kharkiv.
As of 7:48 p.m. local time, the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, wrote that a drone was shot down over the city. At the same time, the attack is still ongoing.
"Defense forces shot down a strike drone over Kharkiv. Preliminary information, no consequences. There are still enemy UAVs in the sky over the city. Be careful, it is better to move to shelter," Ihor Terekhov noted.

As of 7:47 p.m., the air raid alert map looked as follows. As can be seen, the alert continues in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.

Russians regularly attack Kharkiv with drones and sometimes use missiles for shelling.
On the night of June 25, the enemy carried out at least 7 strikes on the city with Shahed drones. Due to the attack, an uninhabited residential building was damaged, and a fire broke out.
