Explosions rock Crimea as fire breaks out at key power substation

On the night of July 20, drones targeted Russian-occupied Crimea, with explosions reported in several cities across the peninsula. A fire broke out at an electrical substation near Alushta following the strike, according to the Crimean Wind monitoring group.

Local Telegram channels reported a series of explosions in different parts of the peninsula.
Loud blasts were heard in:

The area near the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant.
Fire at substation in Alushta
The Crimean Wind monitoring group reported a fire at the 110/10 kV Pryvitne electrical substation. The information is based on satellite imagery.

The substation is a key part of the energy infrastructure operated by Krymenergo.
It is located in the village of Pryvitne in the Alushta municipal district and supplies electricity to the village, Kanatska Balka, as well as resort and tourist areas along Crimea's southern coast.
The facility has two power transformers with a combined installed capacity of 50 MVA.
According to the monitoring group, explosions were heard in Alushta around midnight. At approximately 12:40 a.m., the city lost power.
A video also emerged showing a fire near the Alushta substation.
Following the overnight attack, the Russian-installed administration temporarily suspended traffic on the Crimean Bridge.
Earlier, Ukrainian drones disrupted traffic on a key logistics route in Russian-occupied Crimea, complicating the movement of military equipment and cargo across the peninsula.
Meanwhile, the Russian-installed authorities had previously introduced scheduled mobile network restrictions for residents of Crimea.
