Ukrainian forces have warned of drones spotted near Dnipro. Residents in the region were urged to remain calm and follow safety rules during the air raid alert, according to Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the massive Russian strike on Ukraine overnight on November 8, Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, reported explosions in Dnipro.
The regional head urged residents to follow the two-walls rule to minimise the risk of blast and shrapnel injuries, and advised people to put their devices on charge in case of power outages.
The Air Force later reported launches of several high-speed targets toward Dnipro, saying strikes came from Crimea and Taganrog.

Air-raid alerts were declared across eastern, northern, southern, and central regions of Ukraine. Odesa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions recorded a missile threat from Kalibr cruise missiles.
Authorities also warned after takeoffs of Russian MiG-31K fighters: seven MiG-31Ks, carriers of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, were reported airborne, weapons that combine long range with extreme speed.
Following the new massive strikes on the country’s energy infrastructure, Ukrenergo announced emergency rolling blackouts across Ukraine.
Earlier on the evening of November 7, Russian forces hit a petrol station in Korotych (Pisochyn community, Kharkiv district), injuring five people and damaging the filling station and several vehicles, the Kharkiv police reported.
Separately, the Pentagon plans to use lessons from the war in Ukraine to strengthen the US military and expects to procure more than one million drones for the armed forces in the coming years.
