Explosions in Odesa - Work of air defense systems reported
At night on October 9, in Odesa, during an air alarm, explosions were heard, according to Dumska.
According to reports, the explosions occurred at around 23:32 and 23:42. Journalists have stated that the city is under air raid alert.
In the Ukrainian Air Force, there have been warnings of the threat of Shahed drone deployment, with the last group of drones moving toward the Odesa region's coastline.
"Residents of the Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts, please seek shelter until the air raid alert is lifted! This is crucial! Do not disregard the efforts of the air defense forces!" - urged Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
Recurring explosions
After the Air Force's announcement that the Shahed drone attack was ongoing, explosions were once again heard in the city. "Dumska" reiterated that the air defense forces were actively engaged.
Drone attack on Odesa region on October 6
On the night of October 6, Russian forces launched drone attacks on the Odesa region. These strikes resulted in damage to a grain storage facility and trucks. The Odesa Regional Military Administration (OVA) reported that three enemy drones were successfully shot down over the region.
Additionally, Russian forces shelled the border and port infrastructure in the Izmail district. As a result of this attack, a grain storage facility was damaged, and nine trucks caught fire. The fire has since been extinguished, and fortunately, there were no casualties reported.
Furthermore, due to the attacks in the Izmail district, ferry operations have been temporarily suspended.
