Explosions at military facilities in Crimea are an important component of Ukraine's security. Russia uses the peninsula as a military base, says Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

"Russia, as during the USSR, considers Crimea a military base, and this is a direct threat to shipping. Strikes are also being carried out on Ukrainian cities from the temporarily occupied peninsula," he stressed.

Kovalenko emphasized that the demilitarization of Crimea, in particular, explosions at military facilities, is exclusively part of Ukraine's security.
