Explosions heard in Sumy due to drone attack
In Sumy, explosions were heard during an air raid alert. Before this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the threat of Shahed drones, according to Suspilne Novyny.
"In Sumy, sounds of explosions were reported by correspondents of Suspilne," the message reads.
Before this, military sources reported on a group of enemy drones near the city of Sumy. Civil Defense also urged residents to seek shelter.
"Second group of Shahed drones in the Sumy region. The course is southwest," added the military at 00:10.
The Municipal Water Utility Miskvodokanal reported that due to a power outage affecting all its facilities, the water supply to the city has been temporarily suspended.
"The sewage system is operational - switching to emergency backup power is underway," they added in their statement.
Additionally, at 00:37, the Ukrainian Air Force military urged residents of the city to remain in shelters as Shahed drones continued to fly over the city.
Furthermore, Suspilne Novyny reported repeated explosions in the city and a partial electricity outage.
