In the night leading up to April 4, explosions were heard in Kharkiv during an air raid alert, declared due to the threat of enemy missile strikes, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Telegram channel Suspilne Kharkiv.

Around 00:16, an air raid alert was declared in the Kharkiv region.

Russian drones were spotted in the region, reported the chief of the Kharkiv garrison and defense forces of Kharkiv, Serhiy Melnyk. The Air Force reported about a group of Shahed drones from the northeast.

At 00:59, the Air Force reported a Shahed drone from the northwest heading towards Kharkiv and urged immediate shelter.

At 01:01, Suspilne reported the first explosion in the city.

At 01:07, the second and third explosions were recorded.

Later, the Air Force spotted Shahed drones moving from the Belgorod region towards Kharkiv.

On the evening of April 3, the Russians struck with an anti-ship missile in Merefa near Kharkiv. It happened around 18:20, resulting in a 55-year-old woman being injured, and the buildings of a civilian enterprise were damaged.

Additionally, yesterday, April 3, the Russian army struck a village near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. This caused a massive fire in the coniferous litter of a pine forest on the outskirts of the village of Kolesnykivka in the Kurylivska community. The fire was extinguished by the State Emergency Service units at 17:00.
