Explosions and fires in Belgorod: Russians complain about strikes
Residents of the Russian city of Belgorod complained about explosions and strikes on the morning of March 16. Several fires broke out in the city, inform local Telegram channels.

Moreover, several fires broke out in Belgorod. According to footage shared online, there were open-area fires, and vehicles were also ablaze.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported a "successful" operation of air defense systems. According to Shoigu, supposedly, five drones were destroyed in the Kursk region overnight, along with three drones, a rocket-propelled projectile, and a Tochka-U missile in the Belgorod region.
Early in the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed an alleged shelling of the Belgorod region with the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher system and the destruction of eight rocket-propelled projectiles, as well as two drones.
Russian volunteer troops' raid
On March 12, the Russian Volunteer Corps, together with two other units, breached the border with Russia and took control of several settlements, including those in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
Earlier, Russian volunteers announced strikes on Russian military positions in Belgorod and Kursk. Residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions were urged to evacuate. Later, the volunteers reiterated their call for evacuation.
Sources from RBC-Ukraine in intelligence reported that the Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians in the Belgorod region.
