Today, February 17, an explosion struck the military commandant's building in Russia's Leningrad region. Fatalities reported, according to Russian social media.
The incident occurred in the city of Sertolovo. According to preliminary data, the second and third floors of the military commandant’s building on the territory of a military unit collapsed as a result of the explosion.
Initially, Russian public channels reported two dead and at least three to four people under the rubble. Later, it became known that the number of victims had risen to three.
The local governor instructed security agencies to assist the military in clearing debris and searching for those affected after the building collapse.
Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other emergency services are working at the scene. The causes of the explosion have not yet been reported.
Tonight, in the Krasnodar region, residents reported a series of loud explosions and a fire at an oil facility.
Photos and videos of the aftermath widely appeared on social media.
Later, a fire at the Ilsky oil refinery was officially confirmed. In particular, a tank with petroleum products was hit, after which a large-scale fire broke out.
Also, in occupied Sevastopol, authorities reported "one of the longest attacks" in recent times.
