Explosion rocks Odesa: Military warned of high-speed target

Residents of Odesa heard an explosion this evening, May 13. A high-speed target was detected in the Odesa region, according to Suspilne, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
There are currently no official details about the cause of the explosion in Odesa.
"Ballistic threat," the city’s mayor had warned residents prior to the explosion.
At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected a high-speed target over the Black Sea, heading toward the town of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region.
It is worth noting that Russia is attacking the Odesa region amid plans to hold negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15.
Peace negotiations
On May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed that Ukraine resume direct contacts. The Kremlin leader suggested holding the talks in Istanbul on May 15.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would attend in person and expects that Putin will also agree to the meeting.
At this time, there are no concrete agreements regarding the negotiations in Istanbul or who will participate.
