Explosion demolishes office building at southern Iran port: What we know

A powerful explosion occurred at a port in southern Iran. An office building was destroyed and vehicles were damaged, according to Tasnim.
A fuel tank exploded at the Shahid Rajaee port in Iran, according to media reports.
Preliminary information indicates that the epicenter of the explosion was an administrative building near the pier.
The blast wave was so powerful that it destroyed the office building and damaged dozens of vehicles. Port operations have been temporarily suspended to deal with the aftermath.

Local sources cited by Tasnim report possible casualties among port employees, but there is no official confirmation yet regarding the number of injured or dead.
According to eyewitnesses, the situation at the port remains critical, with many workers in a state of shock.

Rescue teams continue working at the site of the explosion, trying to bring the situation under control and minimize the consequences of the incident.
As a reminder, on March 21, an earthquake occurred in Iran during the daytime. It was recorded in the area of a nuclear facility that serves as the country’s main uranium enrichment site.
According to the Seismological Center, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck near the city of Isfahan in central Iran. A few hours later, around 1:00 p.m., a second tremor with a magnitude of 4.5 was recorded.
