Explosion at German train station halts rail traffic: Injuries reported

An explosion involving an unidentified object occurred at Augsburg's main train station. Police have completely cordoned off the station; two people sustained minor injuries, according to Welt.
An unidentified object exploded at the main train station in Augsburg, Germany. Shortly afterward, police discovered a suspicious object nearby.
The station is currently completely cordoned off; train service has been suspended, and public transportation has also been disrupted. The police operation has been underway since 5 a.m.
According to a police spokesperson, two people sustained minor injuries. According to the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper, the injured are an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both of whom were passersby. The explosion also damaged windows.
The State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is on the scene with a bomb disposal expert and a bomb-disposal robot.
In early August, a drone carrying explosives was discovered near a Ukrainian An-124 aircraft at Leipzig Airport.
At that time, the Bundeswehr reported that the number of incidents involving drones in Germany runs into the hundreds.
