President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that there are forces within the EU trying to destroy it and mocked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, President Zelenskyy made these remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The Ukrainian leader said that the forces trying to destroy Europe do not waste a single day. According to him, they are even operating from within the EU.

"Every 'Viktor' who lives off European money while trying to sell out European interests deserves a smack upside the head," he said, likely referring to Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán.

Zelenskyy noted that just because someone feels comfortable in Russia, it doesn’t mean "we should allow European capitals to turn into little Moscows."

Europe must strengthen sanctions

The President of Ukraine emphasized that Russia is trying to "drive Ukrainians to death by cold" at minus 20 degrees Celsius, but it would not be able to produce missiles without critical components from other countries.

"And it’s not just China. Too often people hide behind the excuse that China helps Russia. Yes, it does, but not only China. Russia receives components from companies in Europe, the US, and Taiwan," Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that thanks to sanctions, Russian oil has become cheaper, but its flow has not stopped, and Russian companies financing the aggression are still operating.

"But let's be honest, Europe must do more so its sanctions block enemies as effectively as American sanctions,” Zelenskyy noted.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine is capable of helping NATO sink Russian ships near Greenland. According to him, they would sink there "in exactly the same way as they sink near Crimea."

In addition, Zelenskyy announced the first trilateral technical‑level meeting between Ukraine, the US, and Russia. It is set to take place in the UAE in the coming days.
