Eurovision 2024: Country drops out right before final
Ahead of the Eurovision final, one of the participating countries has been disqualified from the competition. This concerns singer Joost Klein, representing the Netherlands, according to the official statement from Eurovision organizers, which was posted on the Eurovision.tv website.

Competition organizers have announced that Klein will not perform in the final. All because a woman from the film crew contacted the police in Malmo, where Eurovision is taking place.
There was an incident, the details of which are not disclosed amid rumors that Klein may have caused a scandal after the semi-final. According to unconfirmed information, he allegedly provoked a fight. However, legal proceedings have begun, so all details are classified.

"We would like to make it clear that, contrary to some media reports and speculation on social media speculations, this incident did not involve any other performer or delegation member," Eurovision representatives stated.
"We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behavior at our event and are committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all staff at the Contest. In light of this, Joost Klein's behavior towards a team member is deemed in breach of Contest rules," they added.

Therefore, today, May 11, the grand final of Eurovision will consist of performances from 25 participating countries, without the Netherlands.
