European Commission to present 19th package of sanctions against Russia by September 12

The European Commission plans to present the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions by Friday, September 12. It is still unknown how quickly it will be approved, Sky News reports.
According to the publication, the timing of the presentation of the new package was revealed by unnamed diplomats.
At the same time, it is expected that the new sanctions package will include banks from two Central Asian countries.
In the 18th package, the EU included restrictions against two Chinese banks and the large Indian oil refinery Nayara.
Sanctions against Russia
Today, September 8, it became known that the European Union's special envoy on sanctions, David O'Sullivan, arrived in Washington.
He is expected to meet with American colleagues together with a team of experts to discuss new restrictions against Russia.
According to Western media, with the help of the new sanctions package, the European Union plans to strike at Russia's energy sector, cryptocurrency exchanges, and payment systems.
At the same time, Brussels wanted to coordinate part of the measures with Washington.
