Europe too naive regarding Russia and China, Ukraine needs increased aid - Danish PM
Europe has been too naive regarding Russia and China, and must do more to support Ukraine militarily, states Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
"We work and we move too slowly. I think we have been too naive on Russia, too naive on China. We have to speed up, scale up as Europeans," she stated.
Frederiksen added that Ukraine has not been provided with what it needs for self-defense.
"We have not been able to give Ukraine what they need to defend themselves," said the Danish Prime Minister, emphasizing particularly missile defense systems.
Earlier, it was reported that US President Joe Biden announced during the NATO summit in Washington the transfer of additional Patriot systems to Ukraine, and also announced other deliveries from partners to significantly strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
Previously, it was reported on what to expect for Ukraine from the NATO summit, which is taking place from July 9 to 11.
