EU calls for full and safe humanitarian access to Gaza - Michel
The European Union has called for full and safe humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip, according to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
Michele stated that the EU is calling for an immediate humanitarian pause leading to a sustainable ceasefire.
"Full and safe humanitarian access into Gaza is essential to provide the civilian population with life-saving assistance in a catastrophic situation in Gaza," emphasized the President of the European Council.
Situation in Gaza
Hamas militants attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
By the end of October, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a ground operation in the Gaza Strip. The operation continues to this day.
The country's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasized that the goal is the complete destruction of Hamas and the release of hostages.

Additionally, President Joe Biden may impose stricter conditions on Israel regarding the provision of new military aid against the backdrop of continued hostilities in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
