Estonia ready to host NATO fighter jets capable of carrying nukes

Estonia is ready to host allied fighters capable of carrying nuclear weapons, according to Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.
Pevkur's statement came against the backdrop of Britain's decision to purchase 21 F-35A multi-role fighters from the United States, capable of carrying both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons.
According to the minister, these fighters have already been deployed to Estonia as part of the NATO Air Policing rotational mission, and similar practices will continue in the future.
"F-35s have already been in Estonia, and will soon return as part of the rotational mission. We are ready to continue hosting allies, including those who use such platforms," he said.
Estonia's support for Ukraine
Estonia supports Ukraine in the war on several levels - military, economic, and humanitarian. It provides weapons, training for the Ukrainian military, financial assistance, and equipment to restore critical infrastructure.
In particular, it calls on the international community to strengthen NATO's presence and infrastructure on the Eastern flank.
In late March, the Estonian Ministry of Defense announced a €100 million package of support for Ukraine, which includes drones, boats, and medical equipment.
