'Entirely justified' response: Zelenskyy confirms strike on key Russian military factory

Ukraine's Defense Forces struck one of Russia's key military enterprises in Kirov on July 24. In addition, Ukraine's "long-range sanctions" reached an oil facility nearly 1,350 km away, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president said the enterprise supplies components for Russian aircraft and missile systems used, among other things, in massive strikes against Ukraine. He described the strike as an "entirely justified" response.
"Our long-range sanctions also proved effective against an oil facility nearly 1,350 kilometers away. There were other successful strikes as well. Importantly, the operation against Russian logistics, which supplies the occupying army with drone components, navigation equipment, and military gear, remains underway," Zelenskyy said.
He also thanked all army units, intelligence agencies, and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) involved in the strikes on Russian targets.

Background
Earlier today, the Aviatek defense enterprise in Kirov was attacked. It is a machine-building company specializing in the production of aircraft components, surface-to-air guided missiles, and pilot rescue equipment.
Local authorities did not report any threat or attack. After the strike, a fire broke out near the enterprise, and a large column of smoke rose above the site.
In addition, drones carried out a large-scale attack overnight on Russia's Leningrad region, including the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Two Wildberries warehouse complexes were hit.
Drones also attacked temporarily occupied Crimea. In Simferopol, another Wildberries warehouse was targeted.
