Late yesterday evening, Russian forces carried out a drone strike on Chernihiv and Novhorod-Siverskyi, according to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.

In Chernihiv, a drone hit the territory of a local enterprise, causing a truck to catch fire. Emergency services quickly extinguished the blaze.

In Novhorod-Siverskyi, another enemy drone struck an administrative building of a critical infrastructure enterprise. The building was completely destroyed by fire.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces shelled Chernihiv region 18 times, hitting 14 settlements.

No information about casualties has been reported so far.

Shelling of Chernihiv

Yesterday evening, Russian forces attempted a drone attack on Chernihiv. A strike was recorded at one of the local enterprises, causing a vehicle to catch fire.

On the night of October 21, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on Chernihiv region. The strike hit energy infrastructure facilities.

According to preliminary data, two Shahed drones targeted heating facilities in two communities in Chernihiv district. Due to damage to power grids, emergency power outages were imposed in Chernihiv and northern communities of the region. In addition, the city’s water supply was completely cut off.

On October 24, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko reported that electricity in Chernihiv had been fully restored for all consumers. According to media reports, the city had been in blackout for more than a day.
