Elon Musk said drones are becoming a key tool in modern warfare. Today's large-scale attack on Russia's strategic aviation confirmed that drones represent the future of combat.

Musk responded briefly to today's special operation by Ukraine's Security Service. He emphasized that the future belongs to drones.

"Drones are the future of warfare. Manned aircraft are not," he said.

It is worth noting that Elon Musk is known for his controversial stance on Ukraine.

His statements during the war have often sparked major scandals. For example, earlier this spring, the billionaire commented on the shutdown of Starlink for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He also accused Ukrainians of attacking his social media platform X.

Special operation 'Spiderweb'

Operation "Spiderweb" became one of the largest special operations by Ukrainian security forces. For a year and a half, the Security Service of Ukraine prepared an attack on Russian strategic aviation. Today, on June 1, the plan was executed — SBU drones struck Russian airfields.

The drones simultaneously targeted four Russian military airfields: Belaya, Dyagilevo, Olenya, and Ivanovo. The attack damaged 41 aircraft. This is about one-third of all strategic cruise missile carriers in Russia's military.

The operation was not only an important victory deep in enemy territory, but it also sent a clear message: Ukrainian forces can reach key enemy targets far beyond the front line.

The SBU has already calculated Russia's losses from this single day of the Ukrainian special operation.
