Billionaire Elon Musk, who owns the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and the tech startup xAI, has announced a kid-friendly version of the Grok chatbot. The AI-powered bot’s children’s version will be called Baby Grok, according to a Bloomberg report and Musk’s post on X (formerly Twitter).

“We’re going to make Baby Grok @xAI, an app dedicated to kid-friendly content,” Musk wrote in his post.

However, the billionaire did not provide any further details about Baby Grok. It is known that the Grok 4 chatbot was released just a few months after Grok 3, highlighting the rapid pace of development in artificial intelligence.

A recent scandal erupted involving the Grok chatbot after it made controversial statements about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. As a result, Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X (formerly Twitter), lost her position.

In addition to that, Musk’s development drew backlash from Russian users. The chatbot not only resists Russian propaganda but also factually dismantles supporters of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — something that infuriated many Russians, leading them to demand that Musk block Grok.

Despite the controversies, Musk’s company SpaceX has agreed to invest $2 billion into xAI. The startup is also actively recruiting full-stack engineers with multimedia experience, offering salaries ranging from $180,000 to $440,000 per year, not including stock options and bonuses.
