On March 28, throughout the day and overnight, the enemy attacked the Mykolaiv region with Shahed drones. The most devastating strike hit children, according to the head of the regional military administration Vitalii Kim.

According to the official, over the past day and into the night of March 29, the enemy carried out a massive attack using Shahed-type drones and FPV drones, targeting civilian infrastructure and recreational areas.

"The enemy continues to wage war against children and civilians. Our doctors are doing everything possible to save the victims," Vitalii Kim emphasized.

According to operational data, the most tragic incident occurred in the Voskresenska community of the Mykolaiv district — there, the enemy attacked a public recreation area. As a result of explosions and falling drone debris, ten people were injured. Among the victims are two women (aged 40 and 18) and eight children (five girls and three boys aged 10 to 16).

According to the latest data, the 40-year-old woman and two girls (aged 13 and 15) are in serious condition. The other six children are in moderate condition. All of the injured were immediately hospitalized.

In addition to the human casualties, the strike caused significant destruction: three private homes, three shops, and a car were damaged.

The situation was also tense in the Voznesensk district. There, enemy Shahed drones damaged an educational facility (windows were blown out) and a power line. One of the settlements in the district is currently partially without electricity. Fortunately, there were no casualties in this area. Specialists are already working to restore power.

The Mykolaiv district also came under fire from tactical drones. The enemy twice attacked the Kutsurubska and Ochakivska communities with FPV kamikaze drones. Damage to a passenger car was recorded, as well as another hit on a power line. No people were injured.

Summary of enemy attacks over the past day

  • Casualties: 10 civilians (8 of them children).
  • Damage: a school, 3 shops, 3 private homes, 2 vehicles.
