Earthquake in Japan occurred on October 5 - Tsunami risk detected
A magnitude 6.6 earthquake has occurred in southern Japan. According to the monitoring center, a tsunami alert has also been issued, reports the Japanese Monitoring Center.
According to the monitoring center, the wave height near the shores of the archipelago will not exceed 1-1.5 meters. It is reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the vicinity of the Izu Archipelago, a chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean, southeast of the Izu Peninsula, which is part of Honshu Island. Administratively, these islands are part of Tokyo Prefecture.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located near the coast of the Sea of Japan at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers. It was reported that in some houses, dishes and furniture were shaken, but there were no casualties.
