The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that Ukraine will receive an energy assistance package from the Netherlands in the near future; it is already on its way.
"Good conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof. We exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and the opportunities that have emerged now. I informed the Prime Minister about the joint work with Europe and the United States on the American plan to end the war," Zelenskyy noted.
He also stated that one of the energy packages, including various equipment such as transformers, is already on its way to Ukraine.
"Thank you for this and for the consistent and resolute support from the people of the Netherlands. We value all the assistance," the President of Ukraine added.
Assistance to Ukraine from the Netherlands
Recall that on October 28, it became known that the Netherlands allocated 25 million euros to Ukraine for the needs of the Ukrainian energy sector. The funds will be directed toward purchasing equipment, urgent repairs, and buying gas to ensure a stable energy supply during the winter period.
Let us also recall that the Netherlands is preparing a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth 90 million euros, which will fund the production of reconnaissance and strike drones for the Ukrainian army.
In addition, the Dutch government allocated 10 million euros to Ukraine to strengthen its digital resilience and cybersecurity. The money will be used within the framework of the "Ukrainian Cyber Program", which has been in effect since 2022.
It should be noted that Ukraine and the Netherlands signed a memorandum on joint drone production, which became a new stage in the development of defense cooperation between the countries and opens prospects for increasing the production of unmanned systems.
