Duda wants to organize summit with Ukraine during Poland's EU presidency
President of Poland Andrzej Duda believes that during the country's presidency of the European Union next year, Warsaw should focus, among other things, on the issue of Ukraine's European integration and the elimination of the consequences of Russian aggression, according to Polske Radio,
According to the leader of Poland, in the first half of 2025, Warsaw should organize two summits - with Ukraine and with the US.
These summits, organized during Poland's presidency of the EU, should focus on Ukraine's reconstruction and the country's accession to the EU, Duda proposed during a speech at the Presidential Palace on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the EU.
"I believe that we should organize two European summits in Poland precisely to emphasize the importance of these key elements of Europe's development for the future," he said.
Duda clarified that he advocates for the organization of an EU-US summit and a second EU-Ukraine summit, which will focus on the reconstruction of Ukraine and Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
