Duda says Ukraine should take part in agreements on its future
Ukraine must participate in any agreements that will impact its future. Poland will fight for this, according to Polish President Andrzej Duda.
"There is no possibility that any agreements regarding Ukraine’s future will be made without Ukraine," said the Polish leader.
He added that Poland had its own difficult historical experience, particularly related to agreements concluding World War II. At that time, it fell under Soviet influence and was forced to accept communism.
"If we do not fight for Ukraine to have a seat at the negotiating table today, then similar actions might occur in the future. We must fight to ensure that such practices are never repeated," Duda said.
Duda's support for Ukraine
Earlier, President Andrzej Duda advocated for inviting Ukraine to NATO, stating that it would initiate the process of Ukraine's entry into the Alliance.
In August, he also expressed hope that Russia’s war against Ukraine would end soon and voiced confidence that the Ukrainian people would be able to defend their independence.
