Polish President Andrzej Duda met with US President Donald Trump. The leaders discussed, among other topics, the war between Russia and Ukraine, according to RMF 24.

Duda and Trump met during the CPAC conservative conference. Following the meeting, the Polish president gave an interview, stating that Trump "wants to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine."

"We must not allow Russia to defeat Ukraine," Duda said.

According to the Polish president, "without American support, Ukraine will not survive this war." He noted the nature of Russia and dictator Vladimir Putin, for whom the lives of Russian soldiers do not matter, emphasizing that "this war must somehow come to an end."

He stressed that the war should conclude with a just peace, ensuring that it does not return and that Russia does not attack anyone else.

Speaking about a possible visit by Donald Trump to Poland, the president mentioned that there is no date set yet, but the Three Seas Summit, scheduled for the end of April, is a "crucial date" for the American side.

Duda also reminded Trump of who he would have to negotiate with and that Putin is a KGB officer.

Trump vs. Europe

It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump had accused Europe of spending less on aid to Ukraine than the US even before he won the election.

Last week at the Munich Security Conference, US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, stated that he does not see Europe at the negotiating table regarding Ukraine. This sparked outrage and criticism among EU countries.

French President Emmanuel Macron convened an "emergency summit" following Kellogg's remarks. It is known that Macron will visit the US next week. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will also travel to meet Trump.

According to Western media reports, he will present Trump with a plan for deploying troops in Ukraine, which includes sending 30,000 European soldiers to Ukraine.
