Operations of the Druzhba oil pipeline have been restored after damage to the Nikolskoye station. Oil transportation is now proceeding without interruptions, reports Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“We expect that Ukraine will not carry out another attack on the pipeline, which is critical for our country’s energy supply,” the Hungarian minister said.

On the evening of August 17, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a transformer substation on Russian territory, temporarily halting operations of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

The next day, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated that the attack had stopped oil transportation to his country, calling Ukraine’s actions outrageous and unacceptable.

In response, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha sent a letter to Szijjártó, reminding him that Russia is the aggressor and initiated the war.

As reported, the August 17 incident was the second attack on the Druzhba pipeline in recent days, following a strike recorded on the night of August 13.

According to estimates by the Ukrainian General Staff, strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces on enterprises and infrastructure facilities have reduced Russia’s revenues by $74 billion.
