Drone attacks on refineries and oil processing plants
Ukrainian Defense Forces are constantly attacking refineries and oil refineries in Russia.
For example, on January 29, drones attacked the Andreapol oil pumping station. It is an important component of the Baltic Pipeline System 2. After that, according to Bloomberg, the attack suspended oil pumping through the Russian Baltic port of Ust-Luga.
Aviation expert Kostiantyn Kryvolap told RBC-Ukraine that the Defense Forces are constantly striking at refineries in Russia. This way, they are creating a near-collapse in the oil and gas industry.
Since the beginning of 2025, the frequency of strikes by the Defense Forces on refineries in Russia has increased significantly, and there are reasons to believe that the capabilities of the Defense Forces will only increase. Read more about this in RBC-Ukraine's article.
