Drones strike Wildberries warehouse in Russia's Yekaterinburg

Drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Yekaterinburg—a city located more than 1,700 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, according to ASTRA and monitoring channels.
Eyewitnesses say fire trucks and police units are converging on the site of the strike. A fire has been reported in the first warehouse block.
Even before the attack, Rosaviatsiya imposed temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg. Denis Pasler, governor of the Sverdlovsk region, has declared a drone hazard alert in the region.
Wildberries confirmed the attack, stating that an evacuation had allegedly been carried out at the facility in advance.

"Firefighters are on the scene at the company’s logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region; a fire broke out as a result of the attack. A preemptive evacuation was carried out at the facility. The acceptance of current shipments is temporarily restricted; they have been redirected to other facilities," the company states.
The consequences of the strikes on Wildberries are already being felt at various levels of the Russian economy. According to estimates, the cost of repairing the company could amount to a quarter of Russia's annual budget deficit—due to the exodus of sellers, the marketplace's turnover has already fallen by a quarter.
According to Forbes, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already destroyed at least 17% of Wildberries' warehouse facilities; over the past two weeks, Ukrainian forces have been attacking the company's facilities almost daily.
Russia's largest banks are also feeling the impact, according to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. The state-owned banks Sberbank and VTB are seeing a deterioration in the quality of their loan portfolios due to a rise in non-performing loans linked to Wildberries' difficulties.
