Drones, shells, and vehicles: Germany sends new aid package to Ukraine
Germany has delivered a new military aid package to Ukraine, including artillery shells, drones, and vehicles, according to the German government.
The new military package includes:
- LUNA NG reconnaissance drone
- 10 VECTOR reconnaissance drones
- 1,750 155mm caliber shells
- 70 MGW automatic grenade launchers
- 6 patrol vehicles
- 8 Zetros trucks
- 100,000 military first aid kits
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held telephone talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, expressing gratitude for the winter aid package from Germany, which includes four IRIS-T systems.
Germany's assistance for Ukraine
Germany has proven itself as one of the countries providing military, political, and financial support to Ukraine. Berlin has supplied various types of artillery, Leopard tanks of both older and newer versions, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, ammunition, vehicles, drones, and other types of weaponry.
Earlier, the German government announced an allocation of 200 million euros to Ukraine, earmarked for the country's reconstruction.
It has also been revealed that the second group of Ukrainian operators of the Patriot air defense system has completed training in Germany. Seventy Ukrainian soldiers and officers underwent a training course lasting more than six weeks.
