During the night of December 5, Russian authorities again reported an attack by unidentified drones. A seaport and an oil refinery in two different cities came under strike, according to Russian channels.

At around 00:30 AM local time, several channels began reporting that unidentified drones had attacked Temryuk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

The strike reportedly hit the seaport, triggering a fire in the area. According to ASTRA subscribers, fuel storage tanks caught fire after the attack, and the first footage of the blaze quickly began circulating online.

An hour later, the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters released an official statement confirming the drone attack, the fire, and damage to port infrastructure.

According to the statement, elements of the port facilities in Temryuk were damaged, and a fire broke out. Russia’s Emergency Ministry reported that 32 personnel and 8 units of equipment were deployed to extinguish the blaze. Emergency services are working on site, and preliminary information indicates no casualties, with staff evacuated.

A bit later, around 01:40 AM, channels began reporting a strike on the Syzran oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region. Footage from the scene shows a fire burning in the area of the facility.

There have been no official comments regarding the incident in Syzran so far, and it remains unclear what type of weapon was used in the attack.

Other strikes on Russian territory

On the night of November 14, Ukraine’s Defence Forces targeted the Russian Navy’s Novorossiysk base in Krasnodar Krai. The strike damaged port infrastructure and the Sheskharis oil terminal.

Soon after, it emerged that the Novorossiysk port had urgently halted oil exports following the overnight drone attack, and local authorities introduced a state of emergency.

On November 18, Reuters reported that oil loading in the Novorossiysk port was delayed by 2–3 days due to the damage inflicted by Ukrainian drones, which reduced the operational capacity of a key terminal berth.
