On the night of May 7-8, drones attacked several Russian cities simultaneously. In Yaroslavl, a fire broke out at the Yaroslavnefteorgsintez oil refinery, and in Rostov-on-Don — at an industrial facility. Moscow Mayor Sobyanin confirmed that drones were shot down over the capital, and Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports imposed flight restrictions, according to monitoring channels.

Moscow

The first drones were spotted over Moscow on the evening of May 7. Rosaviatsia imposed flight restrictions at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports.

Sobyanin confirmed that the drones were shot down, but no details about the consequences were reported.

Yaroslavl

In Yaroslavl, after a series of explosions, a fire broke out on the territory of the Yaroslavnefteorgsintez oil refinery — one of the largest oil refineries in northern Russia. A video showing smoke over the plant has spread online.

Rostov-on-Don

In Rostov, after nighttime explosions, a large-scale fire broke out. Local residents report a strike on the enterprise Rostovagropromspare part.

In different districts of the city, sirens were heard, and air defense systems were active. No official information about the consequences of the attack has been provided by Russian authorities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced a ceasefire regime starting at 00:00 on May 6, but Russia did not comply: Russian forces continued to attack Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kryvyi Rih with drones and missiles.

On the afternoon of May 6, two drones struck a kindergarten building in the center of Sumy. A fire broke out, and the bodies of two deceased female employees were recovered from the rubble; seven other people were wounded.

On the night of May 7, the Russians again attacked Ukraine with over a hundred strike drones launched from seven directions. Impacts from eight kamikaze drones were recorded at six locations, along with debris falling.
