Drones attack Russian military airbase in Saratov region
Unidentified drones attacked a military airfield in the Saratov region of Russia. The consequences of the attack are currently unknown, the news agency Meduza reports.
According to the region's governor, Roman Busargin, Russian air defense allegedly stopped the drone attack on the military airfield in the Saratov region.
Busargin also added that, according to preliminary information, there were "no reported damages or casualties." However, he did not provide any further details.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not report any downed drones over the Saratov region.
Not first attacks on Saratov region
At the beginning of November, RBC-Ukraine reported about an alleged "strike" on the Russian city of Saratov. Temporary restrictions were imposed at the local airport on aircraft arrival and departure. At that time, the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, warned of the threat of drone attacks.
A few days earlier, our sources informed that Ukraine's Defense Intelligence had attacked an oil refinery in Saratov.
According to the Foreign Intelligence Service, three Russian oil refineries partially halted operations. The reason was unfinished repairs, which the Russians were unable to complete in October due to previously imposed sanctions.
