Drones attack energy facilities in Astrakhan, Russia, leaving one injured

On the night of March 17, strike drones attacked fuel and energy complex facilities in the Astrakhan region of Russia. Due to falling debris, a fire broke out at one of the facilities, and one person was injured, informs the governor of the Astrakhan region, Igor Babushkin.
He noted that the region was subjected to a massive drone attack on fuel and energy infrastructure.
According to the governor, staff at the enterprises was evacuated in advance.
Electronic warfare and air defense systems "operated as usual." However, a fire broke out at one of the facilities due to falling drone debris.
"The situation is under control, emergency services specialists immediately began eliminating the consequences on-site. One person was injured in the attack and has been taken to the hospital," Babushkin wrote.
Drone attacks on Russia
Over the past year, nighttime drone strikes on infrastructure, defense industry enterprises, oil depots, and refineries in Russia have increased.
On the evening of Sunday, March 16, explosions were heard near the city of Yeysk in the Krasnodar region. Air defense forces were active in the area, and the target of the attack was likely a military airfield.
On the night of March 14, drones attacked an oil refinery in the Russian city of Tuapse. A fuel tank caught fire at the site, and the fire lasted for more than two days.
