Zircon strike on the Sumy region
Earlier, on November 14, a powerful explosion was heard in Sumy. The strike hit the outskirts of the city, damaging the road surface, according to Sumy acting mayor Artem Kobzar.
It appears that Russia likely used a hypersonic Zircon missile for the attack.
No casualties were reported, but a section of the road toward Stare Selo was damaged, temporarily limiting traffic.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that a Zircon-type missile may have been used against Sumy in the morning.
Notably, on the night of November 14, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Ukraine, targeting mostly Kyiv. Among the weapons used were hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and Kalibr cruise missiles.
