Explosions were heard across several cities in Russia's Rostov region on the night of February 6. Air defense forces were deployed in the area following the detection of drones, according to local Telegram channels.

According to local Rostov-based social media channels, explosions were heard in the city of Rostov, as well as in Taganrog, Bataisk, Azov, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, and the Myasnikovsky district.

"The explosions were particularly loud in Taganrog, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, and Myasnikovsky," users report on Rostov's social networks.

Additionally, reports indicate the activation of air defense systems in the region, with claims of drones being shot down.

Images showing an explosion in the Rostov area have also been shared online.

Furthermore, on the evening prior, Rostov monitoring channels reported a threat of an aerial attack, specifically targeting the cities of Rostov, Azov, and Bataisk.

Later, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky was also included in the list of cities under threat of drone strikes. The missile danger warning was extended to Millerovo, according to the Radar Rostov resource.

Meanwhile, local authorities did not report any consequences of aerial attacks on various settlements in the Rostov region.

Earlier reports indicated a drone attack on the Millerovo airfield in the Rostov region on January 5. Before that, explosions were heard in the vicinity of the Millerovo airfield on the evening of December 23, with Russians complaining about a drone attack.
