The Minister added that as long as Russia continues its aggression, no one in Ukraine will be safe. He emphasized that Ukraine requires strengthened air defense.
Attacks on Ukraine
Since the full-scale invasion began, the shelling of Ukrainian cities and towns has become part of daily life. Russian forces actively use various types of weapons, including ballistic missiles, guided aerial bombs, and kamikaze drones.
In recent months, there has been a significant increase in nighttime aerial attacks, particularly with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
On the night of November 8, the enemy launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using:
- one Iskander-M ballistic missile,
- four guided aircraft missiles,
- 92 Shahed-type attack drones and other unidentified drones,
- guided aerial bombs.
Ukraine’s air defense successfully destroyed 62 drones and four guided aircraft missiles.
