Drone attack reported in Russian Yelets, smoke rises over strategic plant (video)

In the Russian city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, smoke was seen rising over a strategic facility following a drone attack. Preliminary reports suggest the target was the Energiya plant, according to Russian channels.
Overnight, a red-level drone attack threat alert was issued in the region, according to local governor Igor Artamonov.
Explosions were also heard in the Voronezh and Rostov regions.
"Air defense forces detected and destroyed several unmanned aerial vehicles in the suburbs of Voronezh and one of the districts of the region. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or damage. The drone attack alert remains in effect," reported the governor of the Voronezh region.
Authorities in the Rostov region also claimed there were no casualties or damage. Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that 55 drones were allegedly shot down overnight.

Previous attack on Energiya plant
Russia’s Lipetsk region came under drone attack on July 3, with explosions reported both in the regional capital and in the city of Yelets, where the Energiya plant is located.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the Energiya facility. Reports indicated that the plant’s operations were suspended indefinitely.
The Energiya plant specializes in producing chemical power sources. Its products are widely used in various sectors, including the defense industry, civil aviation, maritime transport, and the energy sector.
