Drone attack reported in Russian Belgorod: Several buildings damaged
In the city of Gubkin in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, explosions were heard tonight, February 6. Authorities claim it was a drone attack, according to the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
The head of the region stated that the city of Gubkin was attacked by a drone. According to him, as a result of the drone's fall and subsequent detonation, four private residences suffered various damages.
It is reported that as a result of the explosion, windows were shattered, roofs were damaged, and facades and fences were cut.
Incidents in the Belgorod region, Russian Federation
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, various incidents have regularly occurred in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, including explosions, helicopter crashes, and more.
Last year, Russian aviation "lost" its own munitions several times. Su-34 aircraft accidentally dropped a bomb on Belgorod. Shortly after, several more projectiles were discovered in the city.
Additionally, on January 29, Russian planes once again "dropped" two FAB-250 aerial bombs in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. It was also reported that on the same day, a Ukrainian drone struck a vehicle with ammunition in the Belgorod region. Russians, fearing the consequences, began fabricating claims of "planned disposal of ammunition.'"
