Drone attack on Kyiv region: State Emergency Service shows aftermath

As a result of the nighttime airstrike on February 22, involving drones, one person was killed in the Boryspil district of Kyiv region. A warehouse caught fire, and several buildings, including a kindergarten and an educational institution, were damaged. Emergency responders showed footage of the aftermath of the drone strike elimination, reports the State Emergency Service (SES).
"Last night, the enemy launched another attack. As a result of the Russian aggression, a person born in 1962 was killed, and a fire broke out in a warehouse," the State Emergency Service (SES) reported.
Additionally, the SES informed that the following were damaged:
- a private residential house,
- a kindergarten building,
- an educational institution,
- a shop,
- and 6 vehicles.
Emergency responders shared that the fire was promptly extinguished, which happened at 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time.
"68 personnel and 15 units of equipment from the SES were involved in the operations. The process of documenting the consequences of the attack on the region is ongoing," the service added.
Night Shahed attack
On the evening of February 21, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions due to the threat of drone strikes.
It was also reported that air defense forces began working in Kyiv due to the drone attack. Air defense was operating in various districts of the capital. Later, it became known that a fire occurred in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv due to the fall of drone debris.
Additionally, in the Boryspil district of Kyiv region, a worker from Ukrzaliznytsia was killed due to the fall of a drone. A fire broke out in a warehouse, and buildings were damaged.
