During a Russian attack on Kyiv in the early hours of September 5, no drones reached their targets. The drones did not enter in groups, and the alarm lasted for more than 9 hours, according to the Kyiv Military Administration.

"Russian drones, presumably of the Shahed type, attempted to attack the capital. This time, they approached Kyiv mostly individually rather than in groups. However, not a single enemy UAV reached its target! All drones that threatened the capital were neutralized," said Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv Military Administration.

According to the latest operational report, there are no casualties or damage in Kyiv.

"Currently, the capital is free from potential aerial threats," Popko said.

The head of the Kyiv Military Administration also added that the alarm in the capital was declared before midnight and lasted continuously for more than 9 hours.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Late on September 4, an air raid siren was heard in Kyiv. Alarms were also declared in other regions of Ukraine. The military warned of a ballistic threat, and there was also a threat of Russian drones during the night.

By morning, around 7:00 AM, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and air defense systems were active. Air defense was also operating in the Kyiv region.

Additionally, explosions were heard in Belarus, and in the Gomel district, Belarusian military forces shot down Russian Shahed drones that had once again entered the country's territory.
