Drone attack on Kyiv: Debris hit the house of famous Ukrainian TV host

What is known

Air defense forces attempted to intercept drones attacking the capital, but one fragment of the kamikaze drone hit the upper floors of a multi-story building where the host resides. Miraculously, he survived, but the apartment was completely destroyed.

"Friends, thank you all for your support. Everyone is safe, and that's what matters," wrote Andrii on social media and posted a video.

Andrii has a wife, Tetiana, and two small children. All of them were in the apartment but survived.

"God, thank you for life, thank you that we and the children survived in hell. In the midst of hell... that we didn't burn alive under the rubble, that we managed to extinguish the flames, that we could... we could. Thank you!" - wrote Andrii's wife, Tetiana, on Facebook.

Consequences of the drone attack

After the fragments of the kamikaze drone hit the building, a fire broke out on the last two floors. Currently, the fire has been localized.

Preliminary information indicates destruction between the 24th and 25th floors. Two individuals sought medical assistance. One man was taken to the hospital, while medical assistance was provided on-site to another affected resident of the building.
