Drone attack on Kyiv: Debris causes damage in one district

Russia launched a drone attack on Kyiv on the night of February 8. Debris from the attack caused damage in the Darnytskyi district, according to the Telegram channel of the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachyenko.
"During the night attack by enemy drones, our air defense units successfully targeted hostile objectives. Debris from the UAVs fell in the Darnytskyi district," he said.
According to Tkachyenko, the facade of a residential building and windows were damaged.
"Debris also fell on cars and damaged a fence in the private sector. Fortunately, there were no casualties," he added.
Law enforcement, rescuers, and municipal services responded promptly at the scene.
Russia's attack on Ukraine
After midnight on February 8, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kyiv, with air defense systems operating in the capital. In total, Russia launched 139 drones from five directions. Air defense shot down 67 of them.
At the same time, Russian forces attacked Kyiv Oblast with drones. There were damages to buildings, and fires broke out, though they have already been extinguished. Additionally, in Sumy, a drone hit a private house.
