Several explosions were heard in the Kyiv area during the night of February 10. Before this, the movement of enemy drones toward the capital was reported, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko via his Telegram channel.

Explosions were heard in Kyiv around 1:30 a.m. Kyiv time, with at least four reported.

Local social media speculates that the sounds may be linked to the operations of air defense forces.

Earlier, monitoring channels reported the movement of enemy UAVs near the outskirts of Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that Shahed drones were detected in the Kyiv region.

Late in the evening, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration announced that air defense systems were actively responding to enemy drones in the area.

Update: Fires may have been caused by drone attack

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported via Telegram that a non-residential single-story building in the Solomianskyi district caught fire, likely due to falling drone debris.

"Fire has also spread to a nearby area. All emergency services are on-site," he stated.

The mayor added that there is another fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. However, emergency services clarified that it is unrelated to the enemy attack on the city.

"So far, no casualties have been reported," Klitschko confirmed.

Update: More explosions in Kyiv

At approximately 01:43 a.m. Kyiv time, new explosions were heard in the capital. These are likely related to the activities of air defense forces.

Update: Air defense operations continue, no drone debris reported

According to Kyiv City Military Administration Chief Tymur Tkachenko, Russian forces are continuing their drone attacks on the capital.

"The sounds you may hear are our defenders engaging targets," he stated.

He added that, as of now, no drone debris has been recorded.

Shahed attacks

As reported earlier, on the evening of February 9, the Ukrainian Air Force detected the launch of attack drones by Russian forces targeting Ukraine in yet another drone assault. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions due to the threat posed by Shahed drones.

During the enemy attack involving UAVs, a strike was reported in Sumy, hitting a parking lot in a residential neighborhood. The drone strike caused a fire, which has since been extinguished, and several residential buildings sustained damage.

According to the latest information, a woman in Sumy was injured during the Shahed attack and has been hospitalized.
