Strike drones are once again attacking Russia. Explosions were heard in Tula, and residents of several settlements in the Tula region experienced power outages, according to Russian Telegram channels.

It is reported that a large number of explosions were heard over the city of Tula during the past hour.

In the Myasnovо neighborhood, power outages occurred temporarily after the blasts. Residents also noticed ambulances heading toward the outskirts of the city.

Social media users are also sharing a video showing an explosion on the ground during the drone attack. There is no official information about the attack yet, according to the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Novosti.

Blackout in the region

According to the Telegram channel Yozh, residents of several cities in the Tula region reported a mass power outage. Before that, 14 explosions were heard in the sky.

The blackout affected the city of Aleksin and several districts of Tula.

"In the Privokzalny district on Saturday, May 25, at 11:10 p.m., the power went out on seven streets. Specialists are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the outage. The cause of the blackout has not been determined. Sounds resembling drones were heard in Novomoskovsk," the message said.

According to public sources, strike drones also targeted the Nizhny Novgorod region. At Strigino Airport, the Carpet security plan was activated.

At 12:47 a.m., Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that Russian air defense had shot down another Ukrainian UAV that was heading toward the capital.

Drone attacks on Russia

During the day on Sunday, May 25, strike drones targeted Moscow and the Moscow region. Due to the threat of attacks, operations at three airports were temporarily suspended.

Overnight into Sunday, there were also reports of air defense forces responding to drones heading toward the Russian capital.

On the night of Saturday, May 24, drones attacked the Energia plant in the city of Yelets, located in the Lipetsk region.
